







Discover Ladakh
7 - day tour
Welcome to Ladakh, one of the jewels of the Himalayas! Ladakh has become a praised destination among travellers passionate about outdoor adventures. This tour is an opportunity to discover this beautiful high altitude region from the bustling city of Leh and its age old architecture to the wildest and remotest corners of this vast region. During this journey, you will get immersed in Ladakhi life and culture by visiting monasteries, a national park, wildlife sanctuaries, and villages. You will also travel to the verdant Nubra Valley and to the vast plateau of Changthang. Depending on the time of the year, you may get the chance to attend colourful festivals, see nomads grazing their animal herds, and see the unique wildlife of Ladakh.
Day 1
Pickup from Bakula Rinpoche airport and drive to hotel.
Note: Ladakh being a high altitude region, we recommend a full day (24hours) acclimatisation in order to be able to further enjoy journey.
Day 2
Your second day is dedicated to low impact activities that will allow you to discover Ladakh as your body is adapting to high altitude. We will visit two beautiful monasteries located to the southeast of Leh, Thiksay and Hemis, and after lunch we will visit the Shanti stupa to see the spectacular view of Leh.
Day 3
After breakfast we will start our journey from Leh toward the Nubra Valley. We will cross the Khardong-La mountain pass at an altitude of 5,350 meters. The we will proceed further in the Nubra Valley, drive along the Shayok river and stop at Tirit village where we will spend the night at Osey Khar Resort.
Day 4
After breakfast, we will drive towards the western part of the Nubra Valley to see camels in the sand dune area of Hundar. We will next visit Diskit monastery and drive towards Pangong lake through the beautiful gorge of the Shayok river. We will spend the night in Pangong on the Changthang plateau.
Day 5
After breakfast, we will drive a few kilometres along the Pangong lake before proceeding towards Tso Moriri lake. Tso Moriri is another stunning crystal blue lake and in the surrounding you will get the chance to see a Tibetan refugee settlement and Korzok monastery. Depending on the time of the year, you may get the chance to see Ladakhi nomads grazing their animals.
Day 6
After breakfast, we will proceed back towards Led via Tso Khar lake, which is a protected area as per the Ramsar Convention, also known as “The Convention on Wetlands,” an intergovernmental environmental treaty established in 1971 by UNESCO. In Tso Khar, you can also see the rare black-necked crane, which is the state bird of Ladakh. During this leg of your trip, you will go through a very unique landscape which is formed by the collision of the Eurasian and Indian plates which is characterized by unique and colorful rock formations. You will pass through the gorge of Gya-Meru and cross the Tanglang La, a mountain pass at 5,300 meters. You will then reach back to Leh where you will have our last meal together.
Day 7
Departure from Leh.
